Our Assistant Conductor

David Anderson PhotoDavid Anderson joined Exultate’s bass section in the 2011/12 season, and joined the choir’s board of directors in 2012/13. This year he is thrilled and honoured to be stepping into the role of Assistant Conductor, and is very much looking forward to working alongside Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt.

David holds an Honours Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice Performance from the University of Western Ontario, and is a graduate of the Franz Schubert Institute in Baden bei Wien, Austria where he studied poetry and performance of the German Lied. David is the Assistant Conductor and bass section lead with the Mississauga Festival Choir, and is the creator and conductor of the Oakville Children’s Choir’s newest ensemble, ‘A Few Good Men’.

In addition to his choral work and private voice studio, David is a professional youth speaker. In the Spring of 2011 he co-created The Acoustic Opera: Canada’s Most Positive Bullying Prevention Program, and since that time he and Blake Fleischacker have shared their message with well over 50,000 students in over 100 schools across the country.
