ELIZABETH ANDERSON, soprano, studied organ with John Tuttle at the University of Toronto, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Performance.  Elizabeth enjoys making music of all kinds.  Much of her current musical expression is centered around Saint Thomas's Church, Toronto, where she assists John Tuttle as organist and conductor.  She is a long-time member of the Exultate Chamber Singers, and has enjoyed teaching singing, especially to her nieces and nephew.  Elizabeth collaborated with Cantores Fabularum on their debut CD "From Pennies in a Cup" and, most recently, in "A Concert for Derek Holman".  Elizabeth will return to conduct Cantores Fabularum in their annual fundraiser for the YWCA, a Christmas concert/sing-a-long on December 9th at 7pm at the church of St. Mary Magdalene (Manning & Ulster).  This concert will feature music of John Tavener and other English greats.

JULIA ARMSTRONG, soprano, grew up near Bayfield, Ontario. Her choral career started in the University of Toronto's Hart House Chorus, where she first sang under John Tuttle's direction. She has been a member of Exultate for several seasons and is a former board member. She is also a member of the 11 a.m. choir at Saint Thomas's Church, as well as Schola Magdalena, a group of five women dedicated to singing Gregorian chant, Hildegard of Bingen and other medieval music. Julia is a senior editor at Style at Home magazine.

STEPHEN ELLISON, tenor, has been a member of the Exultate Chamber Singers since 2002. His singing career began in his hometown of St. Catharines, Ontario, where he earned Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education degrees at Brock University. Since moving to Toronto to pursue graduate studies and a career in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto, Stephen has been a member of the Hart House Chorus and he is a tenor lead at Christ Church Deer Park Anglican Church. He has had numerous opportunities as a soloist and choral singer throughout Toronto and the Niagara Region and musical experiences have ranged from traditional classical repertoire and opera, to close-harmony vocal jazz. When not singing, Stephen enjoys his work as a speech-language pathologist for the Toronto District School Board and finding any opportunity to run around a tennis court.

Originally from Vancouver, DIANE ENGLISH, alto, made what some consider the rash decision to continue her musical studies at the University of Toronto.  Much to the disbelief of friends and family, she stayed in Toronto,  completing a Master of Arts degree in Music and then joining the the CBC. Over a decade there, she enjoyed programming music, recording concerts, and hosting a number of shows on CBC Radio Two. Diane’s choral activities have included stints with Tafelmusik Chamber Choir, Opera Atelier, Consort Caritatis, and the Elora Festival Singers. She’s been fortunate to tour Japan, China, and Europe with these ensembles. After six years as a self-employed arts manager, Diane now spends her days working at Parks and Recreation Ontario, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the benefits of recreation for all.  She lives in Riverdale with her husband Rick and son Evan.

BRENT FIFIELD, bass, a native of St. John’s, Newfoundland, holds Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Western Ontario in London, where he studied organ with John McIntosh and Larry Cortner; he has a MMus in organ performance from the University of Toronto, where he studied with John Tuttle. Brent has been the organist and choir director of churches in Newfoundland, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, and has taught elementary and high school music. He conducts the ProMusica Choir of Burlington and the Mixed Chorus at Brock University. He is a lecturer in Music History at Redeemer University College and is active as a freelance performer, teacher, accompanist, examiner, and choral clinician. He and his wife Stephanie (and new daughter Audrey) make their home in Hamilton, where Brent is currently Organist and Director of Musicat Christ’s Church Cathedral.
